The increasing amount of information, choices, pollution and other stuff surrounding us will make us react.
The natural reactions will be to:
- feel the urge to clean, both our surroundings and our personal mind and body.
- feel the urge to recapitulate our lives and come out cleaned and reborn.
- cherish a safe place where we are undisturbed.
- seek a deeper meaningfulness of what we choose to do and get.
Examples of consequences:
- functional styling
- health food, detoxification, well-being
- history and origin of products matter
- easy to use and time saving electronics, the icon is of cause the Ipod
- reduction of stuff
These examples are already reality. But at the same time we are still consuming more of everything. What is interesting right now is to look deeper into this and see what the following consequences will be.
What part of our consumption will be the first to drop when we realize that we need less stuff to feel better? Or will we never realize this?
How will products have to change to be time saving and fullfill our new needs?
