Introduction

Trends as a logical sequence are predictable. The cycles are repeating themselves faster and faster to a position where everything is compressed into one big mess. We're in a position where old patterns serve no use. Wherever we search for news, we will find a version of what's already done.

We are left with one option. Stop. That complete stop, will give way for the birth of life.

Major Tendency

The general rhythm affecting all minor seams to be going toward its peak.

We are repeating our selves with increasing intensity.

What we experience now is similar to an earlier experience. And the time to next experience of the same kind will be shorter then last time.

This tendency will make us feel that everything goes faster. It is not only old age that makes us feel that time is going faster.

For you who got time to study this further: "Research of the Schumann Resonance shows that what we perceived as 24 hours when we started to measure time in hours is equivalent to 16 hours today."

Just a quick test to apply all this to a fashion trend:

The typical "70's style" was first seen in the late Sixties. This style was repeated in the late 90's. Next time will then be less then 30 years after late 90's. How much less? Knowing the world of fashion, it can already be seen again. Probably the first, most trendy brands will have their collections in stores spring 2007, but it will take another year for the more common stores to show this style. 2008, that is approximately 10 years after last time. 3 times faster cycle. Following this theory the next time after this one will be approximately 2008+3 years=2011.

The result of this theory is that everything will be "trendy" at the same time. And is this not the the only realistic picture of the future fashion? We will continue to search for something new, but when everything is available at the same time it will be very hard to distinguish what is new.
